The other side of this story needs to be told in the media. The incredibly brave and dedicated aerial firefighters that help protect our property have to make split second choices that positively effect containment outcomes! Do not let the standard CALFIRE PA answer be the only voice heard! As aerial firefighters we continually train to be more efficient and safe at what we do. But sometimes it is required to make choices that are not win-win. There are consequences and we must sometimes take the bad with the good! Being handcuffed and afraid to perform our mission due to looming lawsuits is ridiculous!
I know I am singing to the choir here but, forgive me, this "SUCKS"!
