John Gonsalves from Bombardier has offered 2 (free) scholarships to a CL415 ground school (normal price ~$2500 each)to ACTIVE, PAID-UP CFPA or AAP pilots who feel scoopers have a valid place in the aerial firefighting toolbox, and who would like to attend the school to further their professional knowledge.
Attendees will be expected to submit a written evaluation of the course and their ideas of how scoopers could most effectively used within the USA, with a focus on California and the West Coast, to John within one month after course completion.
The course will be held in Newfoundland in March or April (details to follow). Attendees will be responsible for their own travel, lodging, and other expenses.
If interested, submit your request and a brief CV to any 2010 AAP Board of Director member, preferably at the AAP meeting on HORNET on 5 December.
