Before congress or the American people will buy into this kind of investment, we must shed the "cowboy" image! Training, Flight Standards and accountability must be implemented immediately! Industry wide, not just at one operator or agency!
Losing aircraft because of CFIT or operating outside manufactures/FAA guidelines or procedures is unacceptable. What we lost this year could have been avoided had this industry changed! Yes even when we do everything right we still have risk, but that does not relieve us from this responsibility! Risk Management and accountability starts with us! Standardize now or lose our industry its that simple.
